About me
An up-and-coming artist, K. D. Thompson have over 15 years of cosplaying and costume making experience. She has been doing custom commission work off and on for 8 years. She specializes in meticulously created, complete costumes, if one should need single pieces, that can be crafted as well. Though costuming is her primary focus, she is always looking to explore and challenge herself with new and exciting areas of art and expression. Her costuming portfolio features a wide range from film, television, anime, comics, manga, video games, and more. Her passion has always been helping a cosplayer to create the perfect recreation of a particular character or concept no matter what it may be. This is the same level of perfectionism, quality, and attention to detail She applies to her own personal cosplay.
Knowing that She has been able to help to bring someone's favorite characters to life is one of her greatest rewards and why she continues to work as hard as she can for her clients. Originally from Greensboro, NC, she attended Savannah College of Art and Design and is studying Sequential Art and in Interactive Design and Game Development. Miss Thompson also has a strong background in traditional mediums like costume design, illustration, pen and ink, sculpture, make-up artistry, and drawing from life. All of this only adds to her knowledge and ability as a costumer. A lifelong and self-motivated learner and entrepreneur, Kenya is not only working to gain a foothold in the professional world as a freelance artist with Snow Bunny Studios, but also continuing to explore all her interests and new crafts as an artist.
